    Doctor, thanks for the thread.

    I am a single parent of a 18 year old daughter with EDS (Ehlers Danlos Syndrom) and have watch her loss her friends and dreams due this awful condition.

    Hi Thom-

    I am glad to hear from you. Any disability can be isolating to the child and the parent as well. Since Ehlers Danlos Syndrome is rare, there is an even greater sense of alienation. If you haven't already done so, I encourage you to contact the The Ehlers-Danlos National Foundation for support for your family at http://ednf.org/support-groups.
